Let’s talk moringa smoothie! I am convinced that our brains are hardwired to recognize that green is good for healthy human beings. Green leafy stuff is usually loaded with nutrients such as lutein, vitamin K, alpha-tocopherol, beta-carotene and lots of things to do with brain function and excellent health.
So when I see a green smoothie, I start to smile (and drool haha). It takes my brain a split second to think ‘yes please – I’ll take one!’.
This Moringa Smoothie is jammed with chlorophyll – what’s that?
Leafy vegetables contain a large amount of a green pigment called chlorophyll. Chlorophyll converts sunlight into energy in a process called photosynthesis. In plain English, that means it harnesses the light of the world.
At the same time, it brings you lots of antioxidants that act against free radicals which would otherwise cause harm to your body.
Moringa leaf powder has 46 known antioxidants
Moringa leaf powder is very welcome in my smoothies especially since it has 46 known antioxidants. That means it is an excellent way to make sure that you get a daily dose of high-quality, concentrated greens in your diet.
Moringa is jam-packed with nutrients. These nutrients have been shown to slow down the ageing process, combat stress, create healthy skin, support bone health, lower cholesterol levels and help with vision. In conjunction with a healthy, plant-based diet, eating a healthy daily dose of greens is very helpful for human health. I encourage everyone to eat fresh greens along with lunch and dinner. For those on the go, having a green smoothie means you can be sure your body is quickly getting what it needs.
